{What a steal!}

2 days ago I stopped at an antique store on the way home from work and I scored a 1940's handbag for $5!

{Halloween Eve}

Last night Travis and I went to a Halloween party at my boss' house.
It was great- fun- I dressed as the fabulous Marilyn Monroe and Travis was, of course, a soldier.
Today's agenda is to make [vegan] pumpkin pie and buckeyes, take Travis brassiere shopping with me at Nordstrom and finally, see The Rum Diary.
The book was quite enjoyable.

{In the country}

Great-grandfather Elzie Virgil Henxeson (born in 1909, Ft. Cobb, OK) and Great-grandmother Minnie Edna Tuck (born 1912, Arnett, OK) and grandfather Elzie Leroy Henexson circa 1933 in Camargo, OK.
I remember meeting my great-grandfather once, in a nursing home.
I wasn't very old- somewhere in grade school.
We were looking at an aviary filled with colorful birds.
He was very kind.
I learned from my mom that my great-grandmother passed away while they were on vacation in New Mexico.
My Grandma Shirley told me that my great-grandma Minnie was a very shy, easily embarrassed woman.
Now I know where I get that from!

{Perfect day for a walk}

Travis and I walked the dogs (Gatsby and Juri) in a field we found near our house.
I picked a bunch of wildflowers as well; yellows, purples, pinks and whites.
