{Finally}

Today I received something wonderful in the mail..
an official copy of my divorce papers!
It's all finally over.. I can move on with my life!

I am now drinking celebratory wine and planning a divorce party (kinda like a bachelorette party.. they're popular in my homeland of California).

{Lunch}

Cranberry-orange muffins with soy egg nog.

{Merry}

My Christmas present to myself this year: a vintage 1930's Neiman Marcus dress, found at Elizabeth's Timeless Attire.
Well it's actually a peignoir, but I just wear a white silk slip underneath and call it a dress.
Right now it's snowing outside.
I have a steaming cup of coffee and cranberry-orange muffins I baked earlier.
My kidney infection is slowly getting better.

{Ouch}

On Thursday morning I went to the local urgent care center in Elizabethtown with horrible, unbearable abdominal pain.
I spent 4 hours there and got x-rayed.. I have a kidney stone in my right kidney.
It constantly pains me and causes me to be nauseous.
So I'm home in bed drinking unimaginable amounts of liquids and taking antibiotics/pain meds to get better.
Meh!

{As the world gets ready for winter}

It snowed at 04.30 this morning.
2 of my cats are sick.. one with liver issue/constipation and the other with worms/diarrhea.
It's so much work taking care of them.. but worth it.
I hope that they are okay!

{Lady in water}

Made the 45 mile journey yesterday for precious, pesticide-free produce at Whole Foods.
I witnessed a pumpkin avalanche in the produce aisle!
On the way I stopped at Elizabeth's Timeless Attire and acquired for myself a new 1940's purse and lacy white 1940's slip.
I fell in love with a dress.. a black beaded 1920's flapper dress.
However I did not have $150.

In other news..
I never thought that I would be going through a divorce.. and yet here I am.
I need to do what makes me happy (and safe).
I really just want it to be over already.. and it's not.
He hasn't even been served the papers yet because he's in jail.
Oi.. how do I even get myself roped into these situations?

{Roaring}

I was lucky enough to find a dress from the 1920's at Elizabeth's Timeless Attire for $80.
It's amazing to me that it has survived 90 years.
The only repair work it needs are a few snaps replaced and reinforced.
