Still busy with dancing, nursing job, pharmacy school, Red Cross work, a medical journal writing gig, new boyfriend and sister getting married.

Oh and I finally learned how to knit!

Currently working on a fabulous 40's scarf.

I have discovered Freddies of Pinewood denim and have started wearing jeans things again.

{Under the weather}

Despite feeling under the weather, I went out this past weekend.

Hi yes, still alive and breathing here.

I had 2 throat surgeries in July and complications from that.. scar tissue, infection, bleeding out and nearly dying, not being able to eat for 3 weeks and pneumonia!

Then busy with nursing job, pharmacy studies, American Red Cross work and subsequently moving to new Naval Hospital, sewing/crocheting and swing dancing!

Well, it's said there ain't no rest for the wicked...

I turned 25 last Thursday!

On Friday I went to a big sale at Frock You in San Diego.

I'm so very glad that I did.. I only spent $99 and got:

- a sapphire blue 1920's frock

- a 2 piece Victorian circus costume

- the top part of another Victorian circus costume

- a teal polka dotted 50's frock

- an aqua wool 50's gown

- a black velvet 50's gown

- a black wool 50's sweater

- a brown wool Dirndl

- a multicolored striped 50's beach dress with a sailor's collar

- a blue 50's wiggle dress

- this Edwardian dress

On July 30th we went to see Dita Von Teese in Strip Strip Hooray at the Houston House of Blues.

It was completely fabulous and glamorous!

I wore my sapphire blue silk 1930's dress.

We were all amazed at how warm the Gulf water was. Living on the west coast, we're used to the cold water of the Pacific.

Travis always teases me that I'm a vampire because my teeth are abnormally sharp, my body temperature is always low (from being vegan.. no foreign animal proteins present hence no big chemical reactions to produce heat) and I always stay out of the sun (I like my skin pale and besides, I don't want wrinkles!)

There was an abnormally large amount of seaweed present on the beach. A local informed me that it floated in from the Atlantic.
